rentkwik for rent properties
Posted by RCPLAYLAND5/3/2007 3:13:46 PM

This is just a fyi.... The rental company managing these properties are slum lords. Also alot of their good deal rental properties that you find are either already rented or sold. It's called a bait and switch. Either way they won't tell you if it rented yet or not until you pay the $59 fee. I rented from them 1yr and nothing but problems and headaches.

You didn't rent from rentkwik because they don't own any of the properties. They are merely a referral service.
Posted by RCPLAYLAND5/9/2007 5:27:14 PM

no kidding.... and yes I did.... they are a rental management company.... duh. They are still slum lords.
Posted by RCPLAYLAND5/9/2007 5:30:41 PM

besides, where from my first post did you get that I said they owned the properties? You obviously didn't read the full post, or just didn't understand it. Also I have the rental payment reciepts to prove it.

I have worked for them on different occasions, and they simply list for ladlords, there are fees on both ends and if you rented from someone at home exchange (rentkwik)then they must own that property and it was a chance that they worked and listed through there.

Someone with your stinking attitude should give everyone a break a pitch a tent down by the river.
Posted by RCPLAYLAND5/24/2007 11:44:37 AM

Ever heard of freedom of speech? And the property that I rented was through them. My stinking attitude.... like I give a sH*t. I am just stating what EXPERIENCE I encountered when using their service. Whether you are managing or refering or the actual landlord. Alot of the properties are slum lord material. That fact hasn't changed. So agian I state that I could give a crap if you do not like my comment on this subject. I have the right to speak and share my experiences. Oh, also too when I went to the so called whatever agency I had went there with 2 or 3 properties in mind that were already rented or sold. Kind of a waste of my money for the referral program that you so honorably defend. Besides all the "pitch a tent" comments just show that you have no real rebuttle to this subject. Happy trails

RCPLAYLAND you don't know what you are talking about. Over the last 10 years I've ussed them and they DO NOT own or manage any of the homes. I work for the Douglas County Assessors office please provide an address to the home you say they own or manage and I can check to see who has the home. As for there homes being slum homes. You get what you pay for. In 10 years I've rented 4 homes that were on there list and all were nice homes they ranged from 800 to 1000. If you have a complaint complain about the landlord, check out the World Herald or American Classifieds many of those homes are slums.

1. What part of THIS do you all not understand.... I will explain it in simple english. I used rentkwik to get a house I rented. The houses that I found in the WORLD HERALD and AMERICAN CLASSIFIEDS were being advertised by RENTKWIK. I had to pay a fee to get the addresses and contacts to ask any questions about them. I paid the money. 1 min later I found out the houses that I was interested in WERE ALREADY RENTED OR SOLD. "Bait and switch".... *funny how you all avoid that part of my original statement*.
Posted by RCPLAYLAND6/1/2007 1:22:30 PM

Next, and frustrated being I spent money for nothing I looked at other houses in the list that I paid for. I went to these other houses and found one adequate. I was futher more squeezed for money when the advertised price was jacked up when they told me the garage *included in ad* was supposedly not included. (I have video tape of this and original ad). I agreeing to the higher price I later found the house to have zero insulation. My bills that winter were greater than that of the rent. The water heater also leaked and had been leaking since I moved in. FOR ALL OF YOU THAT THINK YOU SHOULD TELL ME I SHOULD HAVE DONE THIS OR THAT.... I DID. ALL OF IT. The only thing that I didn't persue was a lawsuit to reclaim lost money on things that should have been in place.

The repairs and updates were finally made that last month (1yr lease) I stayed there, because I pulled some strings with govermental family ties. SO ENDING THIS.... I WILL STATE AGIAN.... READ THIS TIME : RENTKWIK "REPRESENTS" SLUM LORD PROPERTIES AND ALSO USES A BAIT AND SWITCH TACTIC IN THEIR BUSINESS PRACTICES. Oh also I am sure that the douglas co. ass. office will be very interested in your use of throwing it's name around and in the same paragraph demeaning the OMAHA WORLD HERALD and THE AMERICAN CLASSIFIEDS. I also already know who ACTUALLY owns the property and manages it and who introduced me to the property in the first place.

TAKE SOME RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOU OWN ACTIONS. JUST CAUSE THAT IS THE WAY IT IS, DOES NOT MAKE IT ANY MORE RIGHT. PEOPLE HAVE A RIGHT TO KNOW ABOUT CRAP LIKE THIS. DOES IT DEFACE A COMPANY SUCH AS WALMART TO SELL DEFECTIVE MERCHANDISE? YES. SO SHALL IT DEFACE A RENTAL REFERING COMPANY THAT REPRESENTS SLUM LORDS.
Posted by RCPLAYLAND6/1/2007 7:54:35 PM

We sir that would be assuming that I didn't research other houses that had been through rentkwik. Yet I did. Also the Herald and the Thrifty Nickel doesn't cost $59. So infact when I went to rentkwik and inquired about a specific property and they say you have to pay first before they reveal anything about it, makes you assume it is still for rent. Yet the moment I paid rentkwik and the time I got the info and called the property was rented or sold aready.... with in 5mins. Kinda crappy if you ask me. And then tell me well look at the others. Ok give me back my money and I will look at the others and if I decide to look at it then I will pay for the info. YA GET IT KNOW... BAIT AND SWITCH.
Posted by RCPLAYLAND6/1/2007 7:58:46 PM

As for walmart's clock theory you have.... no I wouldn't just on one clock. AGIAN, I did my research and found more properties that were slums. So if walmart started selling a 1/3rd or 1/2 or just a sizeable amount of crap. Then yeah it would probably go down in flames. So please if you wish to put words in my mouth or make assumptions of my intentions without inquiring my ignorance, please take heed of this quote. "It is better to be thought a fool, than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt." Educate this with double talk. (and people wonder why this world has problems)
Posted by RCPLAYLAND6/1/2007 10:51:45 PM

Hell, at least walmart understands this about crappy merchandise. That is why they have such a good return policy. If they get too many returns on one such item, they drop the supplier. That is them taking responsibility. What kind of policy to you have in place to protect and demand better quality or certian standards from your suppliers to your clients? That is the true issue here. I am looking for solutions not excuses. Anyone can make an excuse. People looking out for you (customer service) find a solution. * I know this comes off preachy, but it still doesn't make it any less the truth. *

I mean, come on.... I just went to your website to find nothing has changed since I used you years ago. You still don't even have the cost advertised. You just ask for the persons credit card number first...pretty brash. Also the "about home exchange" link just sends you to the application link which agian only asks for your info and agian your credit card number with no price discussed first. Uh... can I say .... uh...... no. Go to walmart and just hand the cashier your wallet first before ringing you up. And letting that cashier be behind a curtian. uh..... uh... no.
Posted by RCPLAYLAND6/2/2007 10:34:41 AM

Oh... one last thing... Your company "RENTKWIK" IS NOT A NEWSPAPER. So quit whining that "well they don't have to answer to these questions". Your service Costs $59, the newspaper costs $2.00 at most. The newspaper gives you the direct contact to the Landlord. You advertise in the paper for the landlord and then charge the potential renter $59 before you give the additional info to find out if it is still availible. If you are going to say you provide a premium service, then provide one. Otherwise your another matchstick man that has got lucky for awhile.
Posted by RCPLAYLAND6/2/2007 10:42:43 AM

I do have ONE question for you MR. RENTKWIK owner. Being you compare yourself to the newspaper. What DO you provide differently from the newspaper to justify $59 rather than a $2.00 sunday paper. Do you have guarantees of availibity? Do you guarantee the landlord is reputable? What is it exactly you do differently for that $59. I mean come on you attack me cause I voice my opinion and experience with your company, justify it.
