| PayPal Caveat |

Well, maybe, maybe not.
Read their fine print buckaroos and buckarettes!!!!
If you purchase something that you can not pick up and hold in your paws you are not covered. For example, buy software on-line that you download. PayPal will not cover you if the purchase goes bad. Only tangible products, goodies you can grab and throw, are covered by PayPal.
I have read too many horror stories over the years regarding PayPal so I will never use their service. Sure, some folks use PayPal with nary a problem or complaint. But, when entire Web sites are created where those abused by PayPal voice their ire, I tend to look askance at such a firm.

As a matter of fact I received a full refund today when a scammer tried to rip me off. Paypal can be a real help when someone cannot get a credit card and wants to make purchases online.

Think about it like this.... when you go to Target and make a purchase and pay at the CASH REGISTER--- if you need to return an item do you actually return it to the CASH REGISTER or Target? PayPal is a CASH REGISTER. I have used PayPal for 6 years and luckily I have had no problems, however I wouldn't EXPECT PAYPAL to cover me for purchasing from someone else! You are not purchasing from PayPal and everyone should know by now... you can get some great deals off the internet but every time you purchase off the internet you are taking a risk. A risk that is not the CASH REGISTERS fault. |

I purchased a set of 7 dvds. Two of them were the wrong DVD and one was damaged. The seller was extremely uncooperative so I contacted Ebay and Paypal. All I ever received from Ebay and Paypal were automatic email responses - nothing was ever done. Thank goodness I paid with my credit card through Paypal because I called my credit card company (it was still within 90 days of purchase) & within days the entire amount was credited back to my account. After that experience, I KNOW, that if I want protection, I have to use my credit card. |
