What are the benefits of posting an ad on ClassifiedOmaha.com?
First of all, it's free! There is no charge to you for posting and no fees based on your selling price. Second, you can include a photo in your ad at no cost. Third, your ad can be edited/updated at any time by going to the Manage Account area. And finally, if your item doesn't sell, you can simply re-post your ad with the click of the mouse! You'll receive an email a few days before your ad expires letting you know it's time to renew it.
What is an Agent?
An Agent is a way for you to be notified when something is posted that you are looking for based on criteria you have set when creating the agent. For more information on Agents, go to the Agent Information page
What is MyList?
MyList is a convenient way to create a list of ads you would like to print out such as a list of Garage Sales you want to visit or houses you would like to see. For more information on MyList, go to the MyList Information page.
How do you make any money?
At this time we rely soley on advertising. The site is free for you to use.
Why do you need my email address?
This is the only personal information we collect. We need this to verify that you are the person using the email address by sending a confirmation email with your temporary password. We DO NOT give away or sell email addresses to advertisers or other users. If you want your email address to appear in your ad you must either add it to the content of your ad or include it in your Personal Footer.
Why can't I use HTML in my ad?
For two reasons. First, for security purposes. Second, for aesthetic reasons.
Why do you resize my photo when I place an ad?
To keep costs as low as possible we must keep file sizes small as they take up web space. Also, for aesthetic reasons.
What type of ads don't you allow?
A few of the items that are not allowed on ClassifiedOmaha.com are: fireworks and explosives, government ids and police items, hacking and illegal surveillance equipment, hazardous goods, illegal counterfeit goods, human parts, body fluids, and human remains, unclean used-clothing items, illegal drugs, non-transferable contracts, recalled goods, stocks, bonds, and securities, stolen goods, the sale of alcohol to persons not of lawful age, the sale of cigarettes to persons not of lawful age, and the sale of event tickets that defy state & regional regulations. Do you give away/sell my email address?
We DO NOT give away or sell email addresses to advertisers or other users. If you want your email address to appear in your ad you must either add it to the contents of your ad or include it in your Personal Footer.
What do you do with the demographic data?
We provide general demographic information to help our advertisers get an idea of who ClassifiedOmaha.com users are. Demographic information is not tied to your email address or your ClassifiedOmaha.com account in any way.
What if I forget my Username or password?
Simply go to the Forgot Username/Password page.
How do I become a Featured Seller?
Featured Sellers are those with the most ads listed on ClassifiedOmaha.com.
How long will my ad be posted?
The duration for the ads are listed below, however, a few days before your ad expires, you will receive an email with a link to renew the ad for free.

How do I edit my ad once it's posted?
Your ad and your account information can be edited/updated at any time by going to the Manage Account area.
Why don't the page views of my ad increase when I refresh the page?
People tend to check out their own ads so to help the seller get a better idea of how many people have viewed their ad, the site does not increment the ad count when being viewed by the ad owner.
Why can't I post my ad in multiple categories?
To maintain the integrity of the categories and not clutter the site with ads. When users are looking for items, it benefits them AND the sellers if they find items relevant to what they are looking for. We understand that in certain situations it makes sense for ads to be in multiple categories, but that is left to interpretation.
The alternative to stricter rules to discourage unnecessary ads would be to charge for ads, but that is something we do not want to do.
